“You would be very fortunate if Stef was your tour guide. She has a very lively appealing personality and was full of information about Cayoacan and Frida Kahlo. The trip is organized beautifully and the bikes were easy to use. Of course the highlight is the Kahlo museum and that was wonderful. Highly recommended.”

Your host shares stories about Frida and Diego Rivera before leaving you with an included Casa Azul ticket for an independent visit.

“An exceptionally knowledgeable and extremely personable guide made this tour and the history of Coyoacan come to life. His passion for the history of the area was only met by his deep knowledge of Frida Kahlo and her life and loves. It's a vibrant and colorful area full of rich Mexican history and political intrigue. If you're fortunate, and you book this tour, I hope that you have Diego as your guide. Truly a five star experience!!”

Your guide leads you to works by Botticelli, Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and others, explaining the Medici family and the stories behind the art. Tickets cost €29 extra, and radio transmitters are provided.

“The meeting spot for this tour was pretty vague. With a little asking around I was able to find the correct person-holding-clipboard-handing-out-tickets. Our tour guide was nice enough - her English was easy to understand. However, the pace was odd. We spent excessive time at a handful of paintings. I realize one guide can't cover everything or anticipate our interests... My husband literally took a nap on a bench in the hallway while my daughter and I stood in front of one painting for 20 minutes. The groups around us seemed to move at a more regular pace. I don't regret the booking - an art museum with a guide…”

“It's a shame that the time of our tour was changed from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. the evening before. This meant that we were unable to visit St. Peter's Basilica, which was actually very important to us. The guide was also very difficult to understand and paid little attention to the group. Next time I would prefer to book this tour with a different provider.”
